Tierney 2008-06-22T19:49:00-05:00 http://rollinsceramics.com/index.php/site/new_kiln_load_now_online/ http://rollinsceramics.com/index.php/site/new_kiln_load_now_online/#When:02:00:00Z I unloaded a new kiln a week ago and now all the photos are online!  The kiln held about 150 pots and all but 2 of them survived the firing (that’s a better ratio than usual).  I’m very pleased with this round of pots.  I feel that I’ve developed more of a style and taken some quite successfull risks.  I really like the new textures I’ve used and the other altering techniques like the wavy rims and the birdhouse openings.  The combination of Chun Blue with Limestone Clear is a new one for me that turned out really nice on some pieces.  I’m particularly proud of the teapots and the pitchers.  They are very functional, feel great in your hand, and pour well.  The pitchers are very light for thier size (only about 3.5lbs).  I focused on making lots of pots that would make great and inexpensive Christmas gifts so please let me know with an email if you see something you like.  Include the item number and ask any questions you would like.  Thanks for visiting the site and happy holidays.
